mp 10 faulty. was doing wc, thn accidentally splashed some water over the controller... and it went kaput immesiately... sigh..... went to get a tunze 6055 instead.

hey prox, welcome to my tank thread.

yeah BB is rather clean.much leaser detritus. but when doing wc, need to position the wavemaker to blow the detritus to the exposed area of the tank for easy siphoning. also need to use a sponge to clean the base. else it will look "dusty". i will be keeping it BB till i find my splendid leopard wrasse. gonna keep a pair. will be using black tahiti fine sand then.

lol kiko... scaping a 1.5 ft and a 2 ft height tank is very very different... don' tthink i can scape it often...

Tested the water last weekend.....

PO4 = 0.083 ppm... woohooo... below 0.1 target.... nice.

Guess the FR is doing its work.... I actually dumped 1 kg of rowaphos into the FR :P

27 ppb = 27x3.066/1000 = 0.083 ppm :)

My dKH is shockingly low......

85 ppm = 85 x 0.056 = 4.76 dKH. :(

Oh my goodness, did not believe and tested again.

Got 84 ppm as the test result... dang.....

Gonna add 10ml of alk buffer over the next weeks and monitor.

Tested my CA as well and as predicted, it is at a higher range.

461 ppm. cool.

I shall monitor the Ca level next week after a week of buffer dKH.

Bought the marine magic from Gemsurf today.

Still wrecking my brain on how to secure this in the sump.

will hunt for a suitable bracket to mount this.

Your KH real low.

Be careful.Try to maintain KH as stable as possible.

No big changes anytime.

Can cause big issue

Yup totally agree bro.

Once I raised it too quick and white spots appeared all over my fishes.... dosing 10ml daily now... with a break every 2-3 days.... hope to set up my dosing pump asap
