So must get rid of it izzit?

Subjective. some people do not mind them as scavengers while others feel there are nasty looking.

Personally if I see the big ones, I will remove them, I am sure that there are tons of smaller ones that can do the same job.

Regards,
Jeff

I guess they do call live rocks for a reason, even more so for ones gathered from the wild, highly possible there will still be hitchhikers no matter how well it has been treated, etc... but quality liverocks still give you a good advantage over some lousy ones...

:: just a noob ::

It is called a bristle worm/fire worm. Do not try to touch as it is very painful. Unless it is too big and irritates your corals, let it be in ur tank as it is a part of the micro fauna in reef tanks. Not related to brittle stars. It actually helps a reef tank by aerating the soil.

Previous setup:

45gal, 150watt MH lighting 16k, DSB refugium/sump (15gal), canister filter for various media, assorted pumps etc

2 cleaner shrimp

1 blue zebra reef safe hermit crab

Innumerable sabelastarte tube worms

Assorted miscellaneous critters

1 pink goniopora
