Chilli pepper monti don't need strong light, keep it lower or under some shade. Mine bleach because I place it high also but because its encrusted to the rocks I want to shift it down also hard.

Cheers,

James

You don't really need to dose iron if you water change using salt mix. Brand like DD H20, Tropic Marin, Red sea Pro etc. Like what james say it maybe bleach your monti and acan. Due to placing of your coral too high.

+1 for this, they don't need strong light. The green will come back when you lower it down... I experienced the same thing..

Bro, mine is just the opposite . my green is turning pale , with Actanic on for at least 10 hrs

I think my light intensity ( with my new bulb - change from 12k to 14k ) may be too much for my SPS , especially my Monti

I've raised my light by another 2 inch and hopefully when I return home this weekend, my SPS would colour up

bro, sorry to hijack your thread but have same problem with you but mine is losing blue.. any kind soul can help me.

Thanks in advance

Ben for blue and purple need to place very high place if you using T5 unless you use MH 250 also need to place high. And of cos your potassium iodone need to be at correct level.
