Water evaporation

Recommended Posts

Hello folks, i used both chiller & fan. I have to top up 1.5 ltr twice daily. The reason for using fan is to reduce the chiller kick-in time hence i lower my electric consumption. Another point to note is the tank locaton. The more windy or open area will have less evaporation. Cheers,

My tank setting:
Size : 48" x 24" x 24"
Return pump: 1 x Vectra S2, 1 x Eheim 1264
Skimmer: Skimz DC skimmer SV203
Lighting : Maxspect Razor R420R 160W
Chiller : 1hp drop coil compressor
Wave maker : 2 x Nero 5 , 1 x Tunze 6055

Top up : Tunze Osmolator Universal 3155

That's weird.. Should either just use fan or just use chiller.. IMO fan is really too troublesome.. For my 34l tank I to up 1.5l daily. It makes my sg fluctuate alot too
