My open brain coral is always swollen when the lights are on. Is this normal?

It always expands are though its going to explode, and I can't even see the distinct figure '8' shape anymore. Seen those open brain in other reefer's tank looking normal... is there something wrong with my open brain?

If flow is low they will well up, which is good sign. If you periodically feed them then shouldn't be a problem.

The brain was passed to be by a friend. It was slightly bleached when I got it... so I feed it occasionally and put it in a low flow area.

I prefer the deflated look though but I'm glad that its happy.

Hi bro, yours look normal to me, and those not opening not so 'normal' to me. U should be happy that it inflated nicely, u have done a good job, don worry, be happy!

Hi sunny, I didn't do much to it, just placed it in a low light area as its alittle bleached. So far it has not regained its true colours yet.
