This sand is from Caribsea Bimini Pink live sand.

MarineLife has a packet of Caribsea Fiji Pink live sand that i saw in store last week which is finer that Bimini Pink .

You can check Fresh'n'Marine online store for the price, which i got it from ( around 4 red notes )

Nice! Do you target feed them as I read online that sun coral needs target feeding? Where you bought and how much?

Just did a water test :

PH : 8.4

Ammonia : 0 PPM

Nitrite : 0 PPM

Nitrate : 0 PPM .

Today marks 4th week of the tank.

I think it's proven that Caribsea live sand and Brightwell Bactor7 shortens cycling period .

I use broadcast method for feeding using dried cyclopeeze.

Bought it from Coral Farm, left 2 pieces with more than 10 heads each.

Around 4.5 red notes w/o discount.

Normally after i introduce new corals into my tank i will dose cyclopeeze to entice the new coral to open

I see, thanks for the info! My cyclopeeze have been flowing into the overflow if I do not switch off my return pump. Haha.

Today my clown tries to host the elegance coral. Quite interesting to see it hovering around the coral and finally laying in it !

Ruby dragonet managed to stay alive after 2 weeks. Growth a bit fat and the most interesting is whenever i off my lights. It will swim and float at the water top surface.

My six line wrasse just promoted to my sump as the only fish as it keep attacking my picasso pair non stop.

Soon u will regret having a blue tang as it is a big NO3 contributor in a 2 feet tank as even my 3 feet tank I was impulse to get 5 tangs and my nitrate always hang at 50ppm no matter how well my cheato grow and all my LPS shrink. I just manage to give away 2 tangs to new owners. Now I only keep 6 fishes and going run bio pellets and my next big project...

Blue tang is a must have - my wife's favorite fish . She say no blue tang , no tank . LOL

Ok, i will put 6 line wrasse out of the list. Heard they also deplete micro fauna and pods very fast.

Things i learnt for the past 2 month :

1) Always choose and examine your livestock carefully. If none of the fish u want is healthy, wait for the next shipment.

2) Do your studies and research on your fish before purchase as it is your responsibility to keep it healthy and alive.

3) Make more friends here as they will inherit their valuable knowledge and info !

Helfrichi Dartfish

Placed this guy in my DT but this morning woke up and found it in my quarantine box where the filefish is . The amazing thing is the QT is covered with a lid but a very small hole in the middle . Thank God still alive and didnt jumped out of Tank !
