SRC Member james72 Posted July 1, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted July 1, 2014 You can try a convict tang. Its cheap and can help you address new tank syndrome algae problem. If possible just grow some macroalgaes in your sump n feed it when you harvest. pillhead
And as for the skimmer I notice mine tends to get full in about 4-5 days. Is it correct?
SRC Member Snoopyhamburger Posted July 2, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted July 2, 2014 Are chromis fish aggressive? Chromis Viridis is not IME Cute too, mine eat like pigs They just go around the tank playfully Would be a good start, hardy little buggers too! However, every fish's temperament is different Quote steak pls
blesson87
Yep ... as snoopyhamburger said .... chromis are excellent beginner fish, not firefish IME though. Keep chromis in groups of 5 n above in odd nos for best results. And how big is your tank ? IMHO ... Tangs are best added last even in a large enough tank ... pillhead
Managed to get 2 chromis, 1 yellow tang. So far been feeding. Just to check anything that i need to take note of?
Land2013
Keep them 2 to 4 weeks and observe closely for any ich and slow down LS adding. Let ur system stable down with current load.
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted July 8, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted July 8, 2014 yellow tang should be the last fish to add since they are aggressive. but well since you added alr nothing can be done. just to note that in future any fishes that resembles shape of the yellow tang you cannot add. have to either take out yellow tank for a few weeks and put back in then can. SRC Member Snoopyhamburger Posted July 11, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted July 11, 2014 He jumped out of the tank, and dried up on the floor. Its like commiting suicide. Bing,Bam,and Boom have been with me for 2 years. Except for Bam,the new one that replaced the suicidal Chromis. They are all different sizes,so I can differentiate them easily.
