Hi all reefers, I just setup my nano tank 1-2 months ago. However, the zoas in my tank is really in a bad shape. Is it coz of low lighting??? Need help! Also, my orange sponge is losing colour, which I think it's becoz it has been exposed to air both by the shop owner and me:(

Tank specs:

31x31x36cm

Pump: 480L per h

22 LED bulbs

5.2W

Hi bro, yes I perform weekly 20% water change. I don't have a skimmer and hence I make sure there's no left over food etc and always suck out as much of the dirt as possible every water change. My tank is Aldy mearly 2 months old.

Corals were added 2 weeks ago

Hi bro, i assume you dont run a chiller? Temperature can be a one of the main cause for it.. esp in our erratic weather conditions..

Do consider a chiller if you are going to add more corals because since you may be changing to a stronger lighting, it may increase your water temperature too..

Corals really dont like it warm.. just sharing my little experience with you :)

Just have to keep reefing... cant stop now~!

25 - 26 is fine.. poor conditions of corals can be due to a whole lot of reasons, and especially so for small tank owners like us..

Do you test your parameters?

Yes everything is fine. I think the problem now is with the light! Hope everything will turn better after I Change the light! :)
