SRC Member ivanlim Posted December 17, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 17, 2014 Careful, if filter sock is full of debris water will flow out from the opening. Ensure water will be still flowing bk to sump instead of outside the sump
SRC Member Sherilyn91 Posted December 17, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 17, 2014 How often will the debis be stuck? That's what I worry too! Haha Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ian Joseph
Maybe instead you could just lower the filter sock to below the tank height so that if overflow still its gonna flow back into ur sump? Just a suggestion Quote Best regards and Happy Reefing!

Arronpsw
No dont do that lol, its not the debris u worry about. Problem with filter socks is it becomes a nitrate factory if it's not washed/ changed every few days
SRC Member Sherilyn91 Posted December 17, 2014 Author SRC Member Share Posted December 17, 2014 So should I put filter sock or shld I remove them? Any suggestion? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

SRC Member redsuns Posted December 18, 2014 SRC Member Share Posted December 18, 2014 Ya lower the filter sock to within the tank and even if it overflows, it will be back to your tank. Is yours the felt type or the nylon type? From my experience, the nylon ones are easier to wash n maintain.
