Guys, i'm at wits with the MD55 :D

Currently, how do you guys induce the water intake so that the MD55 can run ? currently, the crude way, I use another pump to "feed" the water inlet of the md-55. Once it's capable of "######" it's own supply of water, i'll then pull the 2nd pump hose out of the md-55 water inlet.

I feel that this is very troublesome. Is there proper technic that i can apply ?

thanks heaps.

Regards,

Eric

it will not become a fountain lahz...dun scare ppl lahz...if u fail to replace endcap, the suction of air will eventually kill the siphon..

I think typrobin mistook it as a discharge.......:-P

hey guys,

fyi, i've already done what MC have recommended before i create this thread. Fyi, the air(pipe to the sump) will still cause problem. not able to suck the water. Pump is not strong enough to create a suction effect.

Eric

there are a few things u need to take note of

1)all joints must be airtight.(i use a layer of silicon outside every joint)

2)endcap must be closed tightly.(i use pvc whitetape to wind around the diameter of the pvc pipe and then add a layer of pvc glue over.so my endcap will fit very tightly into the pvc pipe.)

3)u need to close the endcap BEFORE u switch on the pump

hope this helps ;)
