Hi Guy's,

Just purchase 2 bottle of this reefez carbon plus.

Anyone know actually what is carbon use for?

And how to tell when should replace it? and can it over treat?

I doubt you can over-treat Carbon.

well...depends on tank to tank basis. I change it once my water starts getting a bit yellowish. (=

the carbon remove some of the DOM (dissolved organic matter) if I am not wrong. the yellowish colour of your tank water.

only way u can worry is when the carbon gets leeching.

best to replace it after one month.

carbon will absorb all the toxic n even medication.

but once the carbon reaches its maximum "capacity", it will

start to leech back wat it absorb. u won't want that, so replace

them once a month.

also remove your carbon when u dose medication, dun want

your medication to goes waste, n your carbon used up faster.
