Need serious advise from anyone whom have Golden angel and it's still alive and kicking in their tank. (not in the sea, ok)

What did you feed it?

Scenrio

My Golden Angel have started swimming around it hidding place and occasionally venture into the "next town" BUT it's still not eating anything yet.

All bullying have cessed after I rearrange the LS to create another "town" for it.

Anyone?

Just leave her alone. It took mine 6 weeks before she starting taking BS and now flake, pellets & nori.... stunning piece of livefish! Got her real small, less than an inch... hardly hiding now, very easily spotted... although still the one every other fish bullies... A very playful fish and sometimes she seems to be teasing for a catch-me-if-you-can. : )

Also have a potteri angel (for a month already), haven't started eating except the diatoms on the glass tank. A real bully.

alll the best.

How much is a potteri angel? Golden angel about 40??

6ft x 2ft x 3ft

Suggestions so far.

1. Remove coral chips and ceramic rings and replace with live rocks. removed...looking for live rocks now

2. get rid of most of the filter cloth

3. First Buy!!! Skimz FR with Sorb4 and eheim pump

4. Re-doing the sump.....I~aquatic doing up the plans.

5. Lighting MH+T5 or T5 only? how many?

6. Chiller?

7. Wave maker

8. check valve on the return line to prevent sump overflow (great idea)

9. Refugium? Anything to replace it? a FR of some sort maybe?

Tank Inhabitants

1x Blue Tang

1x picasso trigger

2x Brown Tang

1x pygmy angel

2x Stripped Damselfish

3x False Percula Clownfish

I used to have one.....never fed it for one year. It helped itself to my prata corals. Couldn't catch the bugger and finally had to drain the tank to scoop the bugger out.

Why did you want to remove from your tank?

me trying new technique n see if it works. feeding the golden in a breeder tank (stuck in the main reef) for sometime then release in the 'wild' when it starts to feed on food. if won't work, then good luck to all.

Do update on the status, I wish to know if this method works or not.

Currently, my Goldie will swim to the next "town" to stay overnight. It will also swim further away from it's save house or the little "town" that I shift. So I really really really have to cross my fingers (all 10 of them) and my leg that she will lurvive in my "wild" world of damselfish.

Pls ":bow::bow: Goddess of Mercy, be merciful to my Goldie and let her live to see another day everyday:bow: :bow: "

I have a Golden that is close to a year old. It is the first fish in my tank.

Golden is easily bullied and hence should be the first fish in any tank unless the existing fishes are non aggressive ones.

I have a multi band drawf angel too. It chases the golden like hell. When I have a blue tang and agogo sweetlip, they bully the golden too.

All the fishes I had a peaceful or semi-aggressive and they bullied the golden. So I guess the reason why your golden is not eating is because of the hellish damsel.

My suggestion is to sell away your golden or damsel. Otherwise, try to remove the damsel to another tank to give your golden enough time to establish itself in the tank before adding the damsel back.

I hope to remove all the pesty damselfish in the tank but I have LRs which I doesn't want to shift them for the time being. Maybe I will go "fishing" in my tank with the tamban hooks.:evil::evil:

Any better recommendation?
