You will be looking to make an aqueous cream. The formula is available from the British Pharmacopoeia and The Pharmaceutical Codex. Basically a mixture of Liquid Paraffin, White soft paraffin, Sodium lauryl sulphate, Cetostearyl alcohol and water.

It will involve mixing the paraffins and cetostearyl alcohol over a boiling water bath. Remove from heat. Then stir in the SLS solution and continue aggitation until cream cools. Voila! Moisturiser.

You don't know how much of each chemical to add to the mixture.

I think it's

20% (30:70 Liquid Paraffin:White soft paraffin)

10% (20:80 SLS:Cetostearyl alcohol)

Water to 100%.

Me:Today i will be making a moisturizer with a mixture of Liquid Paraffin, White soft paraffin, Sodium lauryl sulphate, Cetostearyl alcohol and water.

First. The Liquid paraffin and cetostearyl alchol is heated over a boiling water bath (pour water from 2 bottles into 1 bowl inside another big bowl) . After that. The solution is removed from the water bath and SLS solution is added and the mixture is agitated until the cream cools. the resulting cream would be moisturizer.

can i use powder to represent SLS . will it coagulate into a cream in water?

You forgot to mix in the white soft paraffin!

What powder? Talcum powder is insoluble in water.
