Hi,

Wonder if anyone can help - I'm thinking of buying a RO/DI but don't know where to start... anyone here care to point the way? Where to buy, what to look out for and also $$$ if possible. Please PM me if not convenient. Thanx in advance.

Regards...

Dotty

Got no RO/DI unit, so I switch to buying seawater from LFS very month 40L - $4. Hopefully our local seawater is low in phosphate & impurities.

Haha.. can't compare in this way... Should depend on yourbudget. !!!:lol:

if not .. get a Sealife RO unit like the one > decentkid is using. not bad too. replacement cartridge for sealife.. if not wrong >> around $30+.

Esp if you are using rowa and active carbon in your fluidised reactors. a sealife ro unit is good enough. ;)

if you have > 500 -600 > no other place to spend... get a RO/DI unit.. but prepare to spend 30 - 100+ > to replace filter cartridges. range from 4 month to a year +. depend on your usage, and the water condition such as hard water condition.

(just my view.) :P

sorrie.. mistake.. i don't think sealife is a ro unit.

For infor on RO system .. read >

http://www.aquaticreefsystems.com/About_Reverse_Osmosis.htm

DI unit > http://www.aquaticreefsystems.com/TWP_Tap_Water_Purifier.htm

remove browish stain < RO/DI and rowa did remove phosphates... > browish stain .. may be. (not very sure on this)

The strain> is not only browish color rite? :o
