Hi,

I have a piece for abt 3 weeks. Got it from ML. Just wanna share what I read abt goniopora.

- It perfers prefers areas protected from wave action, with generally turbid water

- the method of death when a specimen dies is usually a long period of decline that may be caused by nutritional deficiency.

- it needs nutritional water--sligthly high nitrate level

I used to keep one goniopora in one of my first 2 feet tanks with only a canister filter. There was no protein skimming at all. I performed weekly 40% water changes. And the nitrates still remained sky high >50ppm. And I only had an 11w pl tube over it then...

And somehow it bloomed until it almost took up half of the tank volume.:D:angel:

with such a huge water change within a short period.... i think your water parameters fluctuate like a roller coster! btw, did your find any hole in your pocket?
