yeah..just like ricordia said, this batch of his ain't close to the sky blue in the picture.....actually to my ###### eye, they seem more like green -olivegreen than blue...or maybe my eyes abit colour-deficient already..haha..

but they are quite big....bigger than our 50cents coins...post some pics...

The blue will clearly show once it fully adapted and expanded.

The blue are noticable at the bubble tip.

The centre body is olive green, your eyes no problem lah.

The Rest of the body is purple.

From the pic u posted I see that they are not fully expanded yet.

Especially the Bubbles dun look "bubbly" yet.

It may due the the positioning of your mushrooms.

If you are using MH, try not to put them too close to the top.

The blue is more obvious when you switch on the lightings.

The color of the mushrooms depends how you play around

with your lightings too. ;)

I put one Yuma under FL lightings:

( 50/50 ZOOMED coral sun and Aqua Coral (Philips) )

Color turns out green more than blue.

I put the other Yuma under 10,000K PL (BLUE/WHITE)

Color turns out more blue and purple but less green.

Hope this info can be of some help...... ;)

again...I learnt from fellow SRC reefer with lots of exp......

1)he uses a shallow pvc pipe about 3 to 5cm in length... placed upright

2)he puts a piece of small LR inside,

3)let the mushroom sit inside ...won't be blown away by the current...

4)and when your light is turned on...it will expand...but still inside the pipe....

5)we can let it slowly grow or stick onto the rock over 2 - 3weeks (not guaranteed)

yet to try it....can try :D

This is the method I used to attach my Florida Ric after I severed it:

What i did was to melt holes in a small plastic container (the kind that hawkers use to put sauces when we da bao food). Then i filled the base of the container with gravel. Then I just plunked in the shroom. After 3 days, the base of the shroom attached itself to several pieces of gravel, and i just superglued the graveled base onto the LR that i want the shroom on.

One thing lahz, very unsightly to have a plastic container in the tank...

Hope this helps~
