If not prob that part had die off and thats its skeleton.

that shld be the fungus of the dead part...try 2 shake it off..or try rubbing it off...

That white part is the die-off... sponges are generally hard to keep in our systems as they are filter feeders which requires lots of phyto... Also, they can never be exposed to air as they'll start to die-off once they come in contact with air...

Yup, second RAV-65's answer.

Sponges tend to be difficult to keep as they require water movement to prevent detritus build-up and frequent feeding with phyto.

Very low survival rate.

getting rid of the white fungus is pretty easy...jus hav 2 rub it...but while rubbing it..make sure siphoning is done to the fungus tt is being rub off..or else..there will b toxic...hehex..
