Try to read all the tread in this forum, I had read about 400 pages. BUT too late started the hobby then found out about this good forum. Thanks to henry from ML who recommend me to this site. Different people had different methods in keeping this hobby, learn from them and try out and you will never go wrong.

I still learning, get into this hobby by accident. A friend sold me this new tank very very cheap and help me to set up. Look good for display and easy maintenance was told, change water once a year and feed twice a week....NOW....

Thanks to this forum ,I start learning...ABC of marine

Cheers

Easy maintenance?! Wahahahaha.... only when u keep live rocks only... NFWOLR ( No fish with only live rock )...

Bro, on a serious note, the best advice anyone can give to you is that u read extensively, can seriously save you lots of $$$ in the short, medium, long term... I tink I spent about more than $20,000 on this hobby liao, I tink I could have save at least half that amt if I've read up more and also heed advice from the correct people right from the begginning... :cry2::cry2::cry2:

Feeding your fish only once a day or every 2 days will result in better water quality due to less ammonia secretion. This statement has been misleading in many ways.

Firstly, feeding a fish to its fill in a single feed will reduce digestive efficiency. So most likely, digestion will be inefficient and you end up with ammonia (from deamination of protein not digested).

If you divide this ration into maybe 2-3 feeds per day, the amount of ammonia liberated by your fish can be considerably lowered. Your fish will tend to grow more on this method of feeding too.

Always something more important than fish.
