Long-nose pliers, chopper, chopping board, newspaper, cloth, chisel, hammer...

some people use long nose pliers.. just grab, twist and it'll break...

some people use dremels for a cleaner cut..

some people even use their hands to break off the branches...

try not to touch ur sps with bare hands too often..

no harm initially but after prolonged handling like me..

my fingers are all burnt... one day heal, next day crack. and the cycle repeats..

sometimes blood ooze out.... better wear gloves

initally nothing one... but there was one period i was touching my sps everyday for a few weeks.. then came the prob...

initially super itchy, then scratch, then skin peel, then Gd Luck to u...

how about taking them out of the tank and dropping them onto the floor from 5ft up?

If want to frag under water can always hold the colony then either use wire cutter to frag or use a screw driver press the branch and break it off. It'll still depends on what type of SPS you want to frag.

break is better than clean cut coz when when ut regrows u get more branches
