Blackbox Posted June 22, 2005 Share Posted June 22, 2005 Some problems with my diy T5HO. After using it for about 5 months, today it just don't work. This is my configuration 1 no. Tridonic Atco 2x 39W e-ballast, 1 no. 10,000K 39W and 1 no. actinic 39w tube. I saw black mark near the end of the actinic tube, looks like it was burned. Just like to know for twin tube e-ballast, if one tube burned will it affect another tube? Or my e-ballast just spoiled? Anyway to tell what's going wrong? Thanks. Hv since changed to aqualight & after 1 mths still firing strongly, no color chg watsoever. Will try out ATi on my new T5s fixtures soon. jhansolo Posted June 30, 2005 Share Posted June 30, 2005 never blame the t5.. using elbiru eballast that is only about 3000 hours it is seriously short lifespan. The first report even shorter. Anyway it is too late for me, I had retrofitted T5 into my hood since June 1, so let time tell. I'm using Osram tube and Osram ballast.
