anyone have any luck keeping them ?

Would be good if you could share it's requirements (does it feed on hair algae ? )

Had mine for 5 months already. It does eat hair algae.

Did not feed it specially, it just do its work quietly..

wow!!! i only kept if for 3 months and i already consider long liao... u still can hit 5 months! pro.!!! haha.. feed on almost of the nusiunce algea.

They are quite hardy inverts... Wun need special requirements unless your tank got no algae for it... Had mine for a very long time liao... About half a year liao... Growing bigger and still doing well...

I think I have mine for close to 8 mths already. Mine is the brown coloured one. Fascinating creature.

Dun think the purple dye is toxin... I once dropped a rock on it... It release the purple dye and dye my whole tank purple... No LS casuality... Except the water become purple and some slimely stuff... yucks...
