Bro nice Tank ;) i love your baby Blue tang.. i brought 4 of them too.. loved it.. they are in my 4ft tank now and they always hang out together... damn cute.. hope they will survive though.. :)

thats cool. i haven't found something suitable to block up the overflow before i can release them. and my food timer only dispense formula 2 pellets which are too big for them to swallow. so i'm nursing them in the beta box for abt 1 mth first. :)

great man. its great.

If a man could beat his own fantasy. Then to only breed in captivity. Then its pointless.

Genesis 1:20

And God said, Let the waters bring forth abundantly the moving creature that has life, and fowl that may fly above the earth in the open firmament of heaven. And God created great whales, and every living creature that moves, which the waters brought forth abundantly, after their kind, and every winged fowl after his kind: and God saw that it was good. And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let fowl multiply in the earth. And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

thanks bros for your concern. haven't really had time to update my tank thread. only one of the baby tangs survived, but he's v healthy and has grown by to twice the size when i bought.

not much changes to my tank over these few mths. 3 pratas bleached and died, and i suspect it's cos the strong lights after i added 4 extra tubes of T5s. but the additional lights did add visual appeal to my tank. :)

came home this afternoon and got shocked by what i saw in my tank - a mega crab crawling out under my LRs towards my red prata. its the 20ct coin sized crab that i saw in the same hideout 3mths ago. thankfully i was around to intercept and i spent the next 3 hours crabbing.

notice the glass container in the pic above. thats my 1st crab trap. got the idea from one of the old threads that suggested using essence of chicken bottle, which is too small for my crab. unfortunately that didn't work as my sandbed too shallow to allow me to tile the container more.

Nice Bro............... :yeah:

Thats a BIG clam.........crocea or maxima?

Nice prata, you have there.

I also see SPS........... any close-up view?

squamosa i think

the sps looks more dead than alive, hardly see any polyps on it. (i'm not sure myself). only that that it allows my little blue tang to perch on when he's sleeping, else i'd have thrown it away long time ago. my water conditions are not likely to be suitable for sps, and i lack the skill to keep them.

How is the crabbing? Chilly crab for dinner! :P

The sps is brown colour right? Maybe not enough

flow and you need to check your water nutrient.

Why dont you move it near to your seio, atleast

it will encourage the polyps to come out and lighting

shouldt be a problem as it close enough to you t5.

:thanks: bro, i'll try to reposition it later on, as i'm not ready to disturb the baby blue tang's home yet.

my bioload is very heavy. i got 2 PTs, 1 big BT, 3 YTs, 15damsels and few other small fish. feeding 6cubes of BS daily plus a few scoops of formula 2. nitrate is 5ppm thanks to the denitrator, but PO4 is sky high after stopping rowa. probably thats why it's not coloring up.

this is how the baby blue tang look like when he's younger. the other one died.

now he swims together with the damsels like one of them.
