Actually if you read the "About Us" you will be even more surprised, apparently he started this company due to some Singaporean placing orders with him. ;)

well..i have to admit that their technology is getting better...

"most" of the items in my house was imported from China. The basin, mirror, shower curtain, even my 15mm fish tank which cost only S$250 but they need to have more R& D or copying and vola they can offer us better and cheaper items..

imagine a China Deltec for price of let say 300/-

Sometimes some things may look the same but is different eg. True Swiss-made master watch makers vs look alike made in china watches (they seriously are identical but 1/2 the price).

For R&D they sure lose out but for copying let say Beckett model, sump tank, they can make it one lah..

Off topic..i hate when my lectures from say where are the smart Singaporean as the top places always taken by PRC..

I am just an average FR (fish reefing) writer. If you like my FRs, please upz my points.

The price difference should be 1/100 for Rolex. For the more up market ones like Patek, should be 1/400!

But frankly, products made in China still have a long way to go before they achieve the quality of the Swiss or European counterparts.

PRC have 1 billion population. If 0.01% of the population have IQs higher than 160, the number will give 100,000. Thats why they always occupy the top places when they come over and they have more than enough high brainers to spread around the world.

Think of it the another way, if 1% of the population is rich, that will give 10 million people with high spending powers (Singapore population is a mere 4.5 million). Thats why the market there has so much potential.

my tank is made in china delivery here and cost only $300/- inclusive of the shipping charges..

its a 3*3*2.6 ft a 15 mm glass/

but have to said that the workmanship is so so...

going to get some tank maker to re silicon it in couple of years
