whats your rate of evapouration?

hey guys i've been running my 4X2X2.5 for about a week now and its evapouration is kinda constant at 1.5L a DAY. yes a day. i top it up with distilled bottled water every morning when i wake cuz its really going that fast.

is this normal?

if so... bruce, i've gotta DIY a RO/DI unit too :angry:

b4 i had a chiller....top up at least 0.8 litres....now having a chiller....i dun even need to top up..cos feeding(dripping) my corals already bring up the level n the rate of evaporation is real slow... :D

around once a week.. same as alvin, after putting in chiller rate of evaporation drops.. 3' tank wif no mh lite on 12hrs at 90w (3 tubes)

3 pumps total of 124w :)

me using a chiller and fan, set chiller at 27 deg celcius and using a 0.18A 80mm DC fan, evaporation rate depends on whether I closed the door (humid air cant get out, less evoporation), room temp (high temp encourage more evaporation)... usually its between 1~3 litres...

around 1.5l a day using ac fan for my 2 feet .... :peace:

2x1.5x1.5 tank

Previously when I was running 3 fans on my 4' x 2' x 2' tank, the evaporation rate was high. I had to top-up water twice a day (abt 1 gallon each time). So I got a tubby which makes life easier. :lol:

Now with chiller, only need to top-up abt 0.5 gal every 3 to 4 days.
