shnapper20
I have 2 yellow tangs. I chose these as I thought they were reef safe and clam safe, does anyone house these with their clams? I was considering getting a coral beauty, a flame angle, a purple tang. what are peoples thoughts please. john
SRC Member stevenmukoo Posted July 31, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted July 31, 2006 bro, yellow tangs are reef safe. but for the angel you have to be careful as for the purple tang , i understand that she is very aggressive...If you see your others fishes or tangs injuried... most probably she is the one who caused it... SRC Member w3ish3ng Posted July 31, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted July 31, 2006 i would say most tang are reef safe but some tang are known to makan clams as well, its really up to individual. as for angels, they are much more risky, however if you keep them full, the chance of them nipping or eating your clam will reduce. SRC Member asg Posted August 3, 2006 SRC Member Share Posted August 3, 2006 bro, there is hope yet. dwarf angels like flame, coral beauty are fine with clams... "normal" angel i am not very sure. if i were you, i will buy the angel/ dwarf angels first, let them settle in and feed them fat fat. then i will next buy the clam... you have to try it before you know... cos not all angels eat all clams...
