Fishes to keep in 2ft Tank

Hi there, i'm new to this hobby and would like to know what fishes are good to keep in a 2ft FOWLR tank? Thanks.

gobies and blennies make good candidates.

tangs will most probably outgrow the tank,angels too...

ever thought about cardinals?

drawf angels i think are fine. some are pretty colourful eg. flame angel, coral beauties

haha damsels i think u might wanna reconsider lar .. they are pretty hard to remove once they are in the tank. but they are very very hardy

yaya.. damsel is suitable for 2 feet but dun really recommend lah because of my agressiveness.

i have one starkii damsel, they look quite cute though , but was always bully by my flame angel.

Anthias I would not recommend, they are better for reef tanks. Dwaft Angels are ok, cardinals, blennies, gobies, clowns, damsels, all these fishes are all ok for 2 feet tank. But for damsels, try not to get it, as they are quite aggressive and may be a difficult task for you to add fishes in future.

i think basically small fishes. the choice of the types of small fishes to include would be up to the individual

I thought anthias would be fine? Just that they will require frequent feeding so you will have to extra careful with water parameters and perform more water change?

But then again, i may be wrong. =)

its a fowlr tank .. so anthais i dont think will fit in ? i dunno .. haha haven seen anyone having anthais in a fowlr tank

Squirrel fish is very hardy too... I find the cardinals abit fusy with the water parameters... especially with the nitrates and nitrites and NH3... but not my squirrel.

twinspot hogfish/candy hog!! lovely fish ... scientific name is bodianus bimaculatus i think... hardy and interesting fish... somemore nice yellow color..

blue tang for a 2ft? though they may be small and cute at first, they will outgrow your tank pretty fast. tangs are not meant to be kept in a 2ft i guess.

Perhaps before you even start the planning of the tank, you may want to ask yourself what attracted you into this hobby in the first place. Then look at the requirement to own it / them, and decide on the size of the tank. If your list of "loved ones" is very long, you can priortise them and decide which one suits your taste and pocket.
