tomorrow i will start to test the ATI BM250 with the sicce pumps from what i saw till now i didn't like the skime result on the ati i hope i will make it better .

the mesh material was test on some type of pump even on small power head and it's very cheap modify and the result amazed .

it's take more time to break in (when you clean the collection cup) but when it's start to skim it's never stop.

they give the name to the ATI bubble master after the test i realise why.

hi mavgi, how's the ATI skimmer that you tried? Are the results amazing? :)

I have not tried any Hns skimmers, but seen them in performance. The needlewheel is exactly the same being used for Deltec skimmers. Most reefers would consider HnS on par with Deltec.

Unfortunately i stay in the east and i wun want to trouble you. :)

Mavqi,

Keen to know the result you had on your 2 pumps ATI.

Coz I'm currently running single pump(1262) model for my 5 footer.

I would say the result is better than what I had expected. Lots of bubbles and quite fine as well. The good thing for me is I don't get the kind of mirco bubble problem as compare to the beckett i used to have. Skimmates are good as well. For the $ i spend, would say value for it.

Waiting to see more posting on your result.

Txs.

Tom

yes it's green why ?

I am just curious why the ATI BM-250 pulls out green skimmate while the Deltec pulls out brown skimmate.

are you still run the ATI skimmer near to the deltec to or you disconnect it ?

p.s this is the foam in my cup :)

31523565078.jpg

i temporarily disconnected the ATI from my tank. Actually the ATI is in the 2nd compartment while the Deltec feeding pump is in the 3rd compartment. Do u think it will make a major difference in the experiment?

i don't know how your setup look . i would like to see the picture .

the deltec are very good skimmer and it will do the job the ATI need more time to run 2 -3 weeks to start to see good result (the ati with the 2 scci pump perform better then the eheim punp) . i test the eheim H&S pump and didn't like it because the pump not work so steady (it lose air some time especially when i connect it like the deltec and H&S stile on my skimmer)

the ATI rated 3000 Liter (about 800 gallon) and build to skim wet .

to make true compare you need to put them the same area ,your tank size and the biolaod you have are the ideal for the compare . again i love the DELTEC a H&S but i think you need to give more time to the ATI and to see i think you will be surprise.

I will take a photo of my sump tank.

The tank size and bio load is exactly identical. Only difference is the placement of the skimmer. The difference is not tt great since its only one compartment away.

The ATI collection cup is huge, takes a while to fill it up. For the Deltec, it skims pretty fast. I am pleased with both performance actually.

Heard fantastic comments and reviews about H&S. It uses the exact same pump that Deltec is using, only difference is the skimmer body. Unfortunately, H&S can't be included in this experiment.

H&S build like a rock and they are realy good skimmer the use the same pump but the impeller it's different , the pins on the deltec longer then the H&S impeller. The H&S is 15.4mm and i think the Deltec is longer then 18mm .

dude, you are really an expert with skimmers. I always thought that H&S and Deltec manufactures their needlewheels from the same company, thus its the same. For estactic purpose, Deltec looks better than H&S.

What i really like about Deltec is the twist and lock collection cup, which made it super easy for maintenance.

Btw do you encounter any problems trying to remover the collection cup of the ATI BM?
