Purple Fire Goby

I have a pair of purple firegoby, they are such an attractive fish, aren't they?

Anyone has an experience keeping this fish?

No, I didn't know they can get along with each other so well. I think I am just lucky to have them as a pair.

I have a trio of the paler cousins for a year...the red ones...and one of them is pregnant...now I dun know who's the father...

Anyway, give two away so that I could get a pair of the purple ones. They are very beautiful...

i've got one purple one. been with me since i started reefing. very wondefully coloured fish.

No problem so far for me. I have apair of purple and a pair of fire gobies for 2 months in my 3.5 ft tank. They are doing ok. They need places to hide.

from wat i know they live in a group try to buy in threes and keep them in a group to prevent them from jumping

they r pretty shy fishes by nature, but beware of crabs and shrimps that try to eat them at night. i hv lost about 10 this way so far.

I got mine at $12 each for the flame goby but yet to less 10% ....too ex ?

for me last time b4 i catch my crab i get abt 2 purple and 5 red goby.. all gone.. until i catch the crab.. i just get 2 red and 1 purple and they are swimming together... quite shy..

me heard red n flame goby b4 .. only heard the common goby like fire n purple.. i got my 2 fire @ $7 each.. market price purple i think is $12 dollar ba... BTW can i mix 2 fire with 2 purple ??

My firefish gets along with my purple firegoby...it does'nt tolerate other firefish though.

No wonder recently two of my purple fire goby (decorated firefish) & one orange fire goby died together with injuries, suspected it must be the crab or Mantis shrimp...arh!!!
