SRC Member blu_surf Posted November 18, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 Hi roidan, I'm quite new to marine fishkeeping. May I know what's this azno3 that you mentioned? Does it help with lowering nitrate level? If it does, where can I get it and how much please? Thanks in advance!

roidan
no problem...but the azno3 is not a long term solution...have to find ways to reduce nitrates in the long run ok? Quote Advanced Aquarist (March05)

SRC Member flubberina13 Posted November 18, 2003 SRC Member Share Posted November 18, 2003 Your aquascaping is so good that you could introduce three tangs in your tank within such a short period and they wouldn't think of irritating each other.. Now still thinking about that elusive fish?
roidan
yeah lor..i choose those small small ones to make sure they dun attitude each other from the start...hehe...no lah..give up on the elusive tang liao...maybe just rear that in my mind...haha anyway, i read somewhere that introducing territorial fishes about the same time together can reduce aggression coz they havent marked out their territories yet...hehe i quite scared of overloading..thats why i am testing water everyday... roidan
but their sizes is very small compared to the water volume i feel...so i feel water quality wun take a drastic turn so fast...testing everyday..i added more sand from my old set up into the sump....funny i dun see this sand around anymore..its finer than size 0 coral sand...whiter also... anyway, i remembered there was a thread last time about how skimmers fare in series connection or parallel connection... i am now running 2 skimmers in the sump....each located at a different side....interesting observations...will provide a report next time.... when my wallet gains cholestrol again... , i may wanna start ozone/orp ...sigh..but i doubt my wallet will gain healthy cholestrol so fast....
