if i am not wrong :huh: you still need to cycle your "new" 4 ft tank... perhaps speed up cycling process by seeding it with a large portion of your existing 2' tank water and sandbed and filter media etc etc etc.....

as you are increasing volume of your tank you would need to increase the amt of bacterias found in your new tank so as to meet the needs of your increased bioload....

...what are u missing from your life?... dun wait till your last breathe before telling them that you care

Hi... can i suggest that you be more descriptive in your thread title?

Rather than just ' 2ft to 4ft tank', how about 'Upgrading from 2ft to 4ft tank, transfering livestock question.'
