looking at your tank make me want to start another new small 2 footer SPS with T5 ......... so using T5 for SPS should not be a problem if i place them not more than 10 inch away from the lights ...........?

Always bear in mind, lighting is just a small part to sps keeping. Even if you have 1000 watt light above your acros but your water condition is not good, your coral still will not thrive. Keeping a sps nano is not easy, fluctuation of water condition and parameter is alot.

Off course i know ...how many time to you have to said.....

Yes i did mention a few times but i can't help noticing you keep asking abt lighting issue to keep sps whether it is t5 or MH. It seem that to you, lighting in sps keeping is the most important thing of all.

Anyway Peace ;););) and lets not hijack danano thead.

Off course lighting play an important part as well if you do not have strong or good lighting for SPS they will turn brown or green .. that was what you said right cause a fren off mine is using 3 x 54 watts ATI aquablue T5 in a 4 footer but his tank is only like 16inch deep but placing this SPS like only 5-8inches away from light...... so how do you think can T5 keep SPS ?

Don't hijack Danano's thread or I'll have to delete the offtopic posts.

Go and setup another thread to discuss T5 lightings & SPS corals.

What dispar said is true.. having 1000w of MH lighting doesn't mean your corals will do great... its having stable and optimal water parameters, lighting is just another important and NOT the MOST important factor.
