Just a tentative plan...may not go ahead in the end if things do not turn out as expected..but anyway, this is the first overhead draft of the main tank.... the blue are drainage pipes...the red is the return pipe...to be directed to the center of the tank spraying in 2 directions....making surface agitation..

with 2 brown tunzes creating underwater currents...

just wanna start a thread to log my progress on this project...

My god.. :blink: planning a new tank not long after a new tank came? :ooh:

yeah...haha.....after seeing the current new 4ft tank in my room....family members decided to allocate an amount to do a 6foot in the living room.....amount to be decided....

perhaps $3k...but i worry not enough...i may press for about $5-6K before i wanna engage further....although i have contacted tankmaker and received his quotes...well....cheque not in my hand yet....meanwhile, all i can do is to dream....and plan..

Well, it may all end up a dream if they realise the financial burden of this project...hahaha :lol:

as i say..i need to get the final amount sitting in my hands before i can plan what kind of tank...full reef....fish only ...or no tank at all...lol

if i get the budget for full reef...of coz i may transfer the stuff over if the budget includes a good chiller....then i may end up selling my new 4ft tank..which is so new.... <_<

anyone wants to get a number to buy my current new 4ft tank? hahaa :P

:lol: I rather be counting hard cold cash in my hands :lol: But seriously, why not just do a 6 ft full reef tank. You can spend all your efforts and TLC on that and leave some time for your GF :P

My List of equipment if i get enough budget...

AquaC EV skimmer....dunno which model suitable

Eheim 1264 return pump

2 tunze cheapest non controllable streams

DIY MH or I may try to go for 6x or 8x T5s...but from the size of the ATI parabolic reflectors, i may be only able to put 6 maximum covering the whole 2foot width of the tank....

well good for you bro ;) just don't let those other reefers discourage you from saying that your floor will give way underneath you :lol: I think I'm never going to post anything about my tank again :lol:
