oh btw comy , i just did a 80% WC last nite (killer work) , did it until 5am in the morning in case the FR writer wondering why am i still up at that time.

but i will only be doing the transfer after next week as next week i will be in KL so wouldnt want a new setup to have anything gone wrong and i am not around it fix it

finaly place the hood back up and took some pictures with a 250w mh blasting, surprisingly the luminarc reflector can cover the entire tank but it wont be the main lights due to heat and power issues

FTS completed tank will look like this with wavemakers and return pipe hidden behind the rocks so nuttin unnatural will be seen

not really , the tank is cycled already, they are added just to keep the ammonia source there before i start the transfer next week

my new alpha male flame wrasse just died in my new tank, no no3, po4, nh4, no2 , but it refuses to feed , not a gd start for my new tank

no worries bro , i'm fine , my record was loosing 20 wrasses over a period of 2 months and all are the exotic wrasses , so kinda got use to it already,

wrasses seems to be more prone to issues when you buy them , so its really a luck kinda thing

it depends. does not really apply to wrasses. sometimes leaving it at a LFS will make it worse as the conditions there are really stressful for delicate shippers like wrasess.

anyway bro dachkie there will always be better shipments! maybe this is a blessing in disguise

Tt really depends on which LFS you intend to get from right? Tt's why I would rather pay more for a healthy, acclimatized fish. Just my preference, sometimes could be due to the handling of fishes that causes the stress or poor conditions at LFS, and I would rather not buy on/ard shipment day. This can actually discourage LFS from having more stringent QC. Of course for the v. rare fishes, can't be helped.

End of the day, if the LFS has good practice, I would rather reserve it first and let the fish settle down. If LFS doesn't have good practice, why are we still supporting them?

well i do have my fair share of lfs that i avoid, but this is 1 of those that i frequent,

they are not to b blame, out of 10 ls sure got 1 or 2 got stress and we cant condemn those lfs just because of the 1 or 2
