Black sun coral

Hi guys..just wondering how many people keeping black sun coral out here..Do they take longer than the normal orange sun coral to open up? Been 2 days already and only opening up abit when i put cyclops in the water..think today every 2 hours i put some cyclops to tease it abit. :evil:

Never! My sis loves that fish...it's called Mr freeze..coz it always freezes on the front glass.... ;)

quite common in LFS what..$5 can buy already...

Oh yah..forgot to mention..got one small polyp of orange sun coral near the base which has opened up nicely already..but the black sun coral polyps like still very shy... :(

Oh well..guess I should wait longer....I'm very happy with the free gift..a 1cm purplish pink coral crab¬ :lol:

Erm..had mine for months already..initially got whitespot..but survived..feeding on mysis, brine shrimp and cyclops.

It's actually one of the more whitespot prone gobies I have kept.

I noticed it had the habit of trying to nip at the thread like stingers of one of my acros.. <_<

:D mine open up whenever I want it to. Its simple, I take a piece of shrimp meat(market prawns) from the freezer, use a tongs to sway the meat in front of it for a few minutes, then wait another 5 to 10 minutes, it will open up. Also notice that fresh shrimp meat don't work as well, best is those already kept in freezer for more than a week.... :lol:

It works for my black, and orange sun corals... :lol:
