Where to get Tank + Sump

Hi everyone,

I have been in this hobby since 2002 but have not been following the forums very closely due to other commitments,

Am thinking of redoing my current setup to a more easily-maintained 2-3ft one with sump and maybe chiller.

My current setup is a 45cm tall 2ft running on 2 x t5 with HOB eheim liberty skimmer and a Red Sea Prizm skimmer.

Fishes died some time back, mushrooms, green star polyps, a few zoas and RBTA anemone are doing well, RBTA split off two daughter clones. Tank is terribly overgrown with algae because I have been very lazy. Halimeda has been growing profusely as well.

Would appreciate it if you guys here had any ideas to toss up regarding where I can purchase a good and cheap tank with a sump and refugium. Would prefer it if the setup was premade instead of built-to order, but I am still thinking out what to do so just appreciate any suggestions first. Thanks!

jus a suggest.. you can go to glass maker shop and get quote from them.

as for sump.. my current sump, i buy a normal tank, than buy acrylic sheets and cut out

for partition.

piping i do myself too..

as for cabinet, i told my Interior designer to do for me when my house was on renovation.

i got my tank for $300plus at a glass/tank maker.

happy searching

Supports. Getting second will definitely be cheaper that getting brand new. However, u must assess the made etc to ensure it can bring u a long way. Ppl can suggest but whether u can fully understand is another thing via seeing and reading. Good to go round seeing ppl tanks and setup to learn from their mistake and improve. If u don't really want to spend time studying, just get second hand. Ask the owner few basic questions, fail safe features, maintenance setup for easy of water chge, etc. For 2 ft, not easy to have refugium if equipment is in-sump. Lastly, wat u want to keep also determine ur setup. All the best.

Tank : 4 X 2 X 2 with low iron front panel and external overflow

Skimmer : BK SM200 with waste collector

Kalkwasser R'tor : Deltec KM500

Chiller : Pansonic 1 HP Compressor with 20m titanium Coil

Wave Makers : 4 X Tunze 6055 with 7096 & Vortec MP40w

Controller : GHL Profilux

Have been to qianhu Fishfarm quite some time ago n saw few newly wrap sump tank on sale. If never c wrongly it's about $98.00

Forget how many compartment.

For wat bro gooffish suggest is also good but instead of acrylic u had to use glass for making the compartment coz I've tried b4 sealing acrylic on glass with silicon.

Silicon works well on glass but sucks on plastic. After sometime u can easily take it of using finger.

Some1 doesn't 1 2 do anything find an excuse,some1 1 2 do something find a mean!
