5000L+ pump

anybody know where to get a 5000L pump, (except Hailea 6550, a 200w monster ) locally ??? or anyone got a 2nd hand to let go??

i want to get one to drive my beckett skimmer

Eheim 1264 pump (new release) is pumping 4500l/h using 100W and cost ~S$190. Aquamedic may be another choice, 6500l/h at 115W but Aquamart not bringing it in anymore (so may need to get from oversea?).

None of these are pressure rated. Only Iwaki/gen-x or mak4/little giant/quiet one which are mostly only found in US. And Iwaki in HK. Overall the power consumption is too high for me to "digest"..

i'm using the Hailea 6540, 2880l/h to pump from my 3ft sump to 4ft main.

now regret to hv the hailea due to the 100w consumption eheim on the same volume consumed abt half.

moral of the story: do comparison first b4 u buy anyhthing

A Oceanrunner... gicing out twice the flow of the Hailea mentioned only consumes 115 W..... though cost twice the price for pump.

Laguana Pump 5 (made in Italy)consumes 55watt for 4850l/hr. I think that is a very efficient pump. I recommend it to all my friends.

Laguna pump is a pond pump. Are you running one yrself. Is its safe to be used in saltwater. I dun want the impeller to rust.

Yup I'm running it as well as my friends. In any case, I've only used it for a couple of months so I wouldn't know. Also, I dun think Fe2O3 is harmful to reef.

Oh yeah, I've check the impeller when I stripped the pump for servicing, its ceramic! No parts to rust! Cheers!

I thought the 1264 is not out in singapore yet?

and pardon me, how can it be $190 if a 1262 is 215 at Petmart?
