that male watanabei is a female that is only halfway in it's transition to a male.

genicanthus angels are hermaphrodites and can change from female to male, and back from male to female.

but even with females, sometimes males may just revert back without notice. not sure why too and this is not fully understood.

got inspired by Klyve's "Nano" inside sump concept..

decided to do something with this empty space i have in my sump..

post-16223-0-66986500-1315578714_thumb.j

any ideas?

1) pack the compartment with beautiful clams?

reduce the level of sand

2) collect different kind of gobies?

3) keep slow moving LS like seahorse and pipefish?

and no i dont think i'll convert it into a frag tank.. haha...

Bro put a few clams and gobies inside...

Updates:

my pair of clownfish laid eggs last night!

saw the bunch of eggs behind them, almost scrubbed them off thinking it was some yellowish algae..

upon closer look i saw the eggs!

first time seeing fishy eggs, got very egg-cited!

but i doubt the frys can survive in my tank...

cant take a clear picture of the eggs,

will do so if i get the chance

Nice tank. Jus to share my experience wit baby regal angel. Bought 2pc from ah beng. Very small size. Guess like urs. Put both in beta box n they don seem to eat anythin. So i let it out into my main tank. Few month later they grow big. Big enough to eat pallet. Guess when they r stil small, they eat on algae n diatoms in my tank n little big of mysis.

Jus my experience bro... Cheers... 

My breeding pair of clownfishes!

they lay eggs every 2 weeks...

always so sad to see these babies end up as fish food...

their eggs are always laid on the main rocks,

not possible for me to remove them...

i've placed small rocks around their area,

hopefully one day i would have the chance to raise the babies..

post-16223-0-81187700-1321287601_thumb.j

i've been thinking if i should find another partner for it..

not sure if its easy to pair them...

a pair of flame angels would look very nice..

surprisingly, always so shy...

Of cos the coral beauty is nice! Haha.. Have to see who was it's previous owner... :P

Flame angel from LCK about 3months ago...

Did a short research on this forum on 'whitecheek tang', few topics of powder blue ripping powder black apart came up..

Better not take the risk with 2 powder series... Haha...
