Your maroon clown is not stupid. What kind of anemone you have? Are you aware that each species of clownfish host different types of anemone? Try bubble tip anemone for your maroon. For anemone compatibility. You can check this site.

If they're sharing on one anemone or sleeping together then there is a high chance that they are already pair. I'm not sure if they're breeding my clownfish is doing that behavior for almost 3 months until now no sign of spawning. Be prepared they will start to do their own landscaping inside your tank by digging sandbed and removing corals near their territory. Clownfish are born without ###### and once they matured they have to choose which ###### they want, it depends on the environment. I just bought my first clam (1 1/2 inch). I noticed there is a small living thing attached. Please identify. It looks like a small tube anemone. Is it parasite? Do I need to remove?
