  1. So, Irene and Kitzo are in the same plot of land Ah Beng is located in? The entrance gate got a HUGE Arowana right?
  2. hey, thks bro Law! where's Irene? Or were u typing on your iPhone with it's intelligent auto word replement bot?
  3. bro Wilson, mind telling where Kitzo is located in Pasir Ris? Thks in advance.
  4. Hi bro Greemariner, I was lucky to get a nice healthy specimen from Iwarna in their shipment 2 weeks back. My Rhomboid has now passed the 2 week mark, and is eating healthily. In fact, on top of the Rhomboid, I also got a Mystery Wrasse, a flame angel and 3 Barletts, all of which have acclimatised and are healthy in my tank now. 100% survival rate at this time, which I'm very pleased with. Perhaps that particular shipment had a batch of very healthy fishes. Paul
  5. Agree! Heres the link... Algaefree No regrets!
  6. Jacky, You thinking of something like this? Paul
  7. Lots of flame backs in LCK. Also royal gramma, black cap, flame wrasse (left 2 or 3), Powder Blue tangs, etc...
  8. Wah! you're thinking freshwater aquascaping??? Would be definitely interesting
  9. Potentially, yes. Planning on either getting it serviced and keep as a spare, or just sell it. Haven't decided. Paul
  10. Tank's coming along very nicely! Sorry to hear of your Flame wrasse. Nice rhomboid.
  11. Yup.. I really hope it will solve the drastically high bill. But, if its normal to have the bill at this range, then I'll accept it lah..... Sometimes, its just a paradigm shift... heh heh heh.... I'm happy that its so silent leow. plus, it doesn't run all the time. Somehow, that has a psychological impact leh....
  12. Hi Jacky, just read of your crash... sad to hear, but I think you will rebound back stronger. Go for the larger tank if you've already made up your mind.... it will be fun!
  13. Mitsubishi starmex. 1hp. Titanum coil in sump. No pump required.
  14. The new chiller is in. Have not had a chance to measure how long it takes to chill down the temp to the set temp at 26, but it certainly is super quiet, and I've already noticed that it doesn't come on all the time. Will be measuringand seeing how this improvment will mean in terms of electricity bills....
  15. Nice catch Lemon.. I oso got myself one yesterday.... blew close to $500 at one go... damn painful now.. ha ha ha ha ha....
  16. Thanks bro. I can't wait myself. I love getting small frags, so I can get to see the growth from month to month....
  17. absolutely! tried to grab a picture of it, but it's impossible leh. ha ha ha... It's feeding happily and very healthy! Thanks dude!
  18. yeah Jacky, I know what u mean. I'm however getting to like frags alot. They're easier to epoxy to rocks, frags grow naturally in a tank, following the flow of current, making for a more natural looking tank. Frags are also easier to attach to rocks, and I think their survival rate is far higher than colonies bought from LFS. I'm a frag convert. Heh heh heh.... I'm patiently waiting for my sps n zoa frags to grow.
  19. Thanks Peter. Achievable only after reading and learning from bros here in the forum and from Reef Central...
  20. Have not updated in a while. Close to 2 months now. The tank is also more established. Lots of coralline algae growth.... Have also begun adding SPS. Here are some growth pics... Sorry that some of the photos are not very sharp.... my camera skills need tweaking. All pics were adjusted for white balance and sharpened only. No colour adjustment done. 21. Nice tank, earth. By the way, your electrical power bar is directly under your overflow pipe. If the pipe leaks, you risk an electrical hazard. AM did mine exactly the same way, and I moved it to the side out of any reach of water. Suggest you to consider moving your power bar as well just to be safe...
  22. it's definitely chiller problem. Kicking in every 15 to 20 mins for 45 to 60 mins.
  23. Jacky, still unsure about Leds to be honest. Unless there are bros here who can share their success stories on Leds with SPS. On the chiller, I've decided to go ahead and replace. The Arctica I have is a second hand one, and I've been so busy at work that it's difficult to arrange a good time for the service guy to come down. I figure it's probably good to get a brand new chiller anyways. in any case, will give an update Ina few months on how the electricity bill works out after I get the new unit in this Saturday.
  24. Good points Peter! My chiller now stays on for too long. Takes approx 45 mins to cool the tank down.
