where does lck110 keep their stocks? i only see a display tank in the middle, some small tanks on the right and a big tank on the left where they keep the coco worms. are there more if you walk through the shop to the back? i took a peep outside but saw lots of boxes and stuffs. cannot see tanks leh...

my bi color dont nip corals, juz my anemone and killed all the other fishes, including pbt, bt, flame angel, etc. last nite it went after my newly bought fire gobies so i spend the next hour catching it out of my tank! finally found the culprit. thought it was my water or some other reason for my fishes disappearing.

i really think we dont need to spend the amount quoted to have a decent setup. is a matter of knowing where to buy your stuffs and not splurging unnecessarily. can easily knock off 20-30%. if u go to a supplier and ask for marine tank, expect to be quoted a higher price but if you know what you need, juz ask for the tank according to your specs and you will find the pricing will be different. in fact, stuffs for marine is way too high. people are juz capitalizing on this craze so do scout around and ask for cheaper sources. also keep away from branded stuffs and ready made things. darn ex! mh is one good example. simple setup fr industrial supplier will not cost more than $500 but try buying those ready made ones... cheap cheap also almost 1k liao for 3 feet.

i thot the general rule is if mh then need chiller cos fan will not be sufficient unless you use a big big ventilator fan but i think daily water loss >10%

went there yesterday. fishes there seems to be in stable and nice environment. bought a flame angel fr them. was hesistant to buy it from pasir ris cos casualty always quite high, esp for those small fishes that came in the hundreds.

im using 2x30W fl tubes for my tank of 1.5' depth. the top of my live rocks turned brown after a few days, esp those nearest to the top. what is this and why?

all my comps diy (except my first 2). almost 10 diy liao. thing to note is not to compromise on brands. get intel cpu get kingston ram (so cheap, dont bother with those china made ones) get asus mb (intel, sis, umc chipset) get seagate or ibm hard disk get creative sound card get creative graphics card (if they have the chipset you want) why? i tried before with those cheap china brands. always give compatibility problems or break down easily. please note that for most parts, shops will tell you the chipset is branded so no worries. ha! the pcb is more sensitive. those china ones will fail you, and worst of all, the fail slowly... giving you intermittant problems that are hard to trouble shoot. my current pc is a diy pentium iii 500 mhz 4 years ago. now still using it as im not heavily into graphics. juz some games and photoshop. still good, no parts replaced except floppy drive. no issues when installing win98, then moved to win2000 and now winxp. go branded on the parts, not the comp! $800 can do but probably a celeron.

make space *hiak* gonna sell off my 4 feet tanks for that hehehe but no money to pay for mh and chiller so put on hold
