  1. Yes, remove and make soup. Sea cucumber is not meant to keep in a tank. Read more on why there is phosphate in the tank. After that you will be good at your tank's husbandry.
  2. Not that one. Use those ingredient contain cyanoacrylate such as 3M or Loctite and gel type. I used these 2 types without harming the SPS,LPS. You can even put a clump of the glue gel onto the liverock in the water and stick the frags onto the gel. Then need to hold on to the frag till the gel hardened abit. After awhile, then you can turn on the wavemaker.
  3. Once awhile need to shake those biohome glass to unclog the biohome pores from the detritus and at the same time, let go some of the excess bacteria. Then watch as your sps polyps start to expand....
  4. Haha.. can't effort to do this. Put vodka everyday so much easier...
  5. I'm still surprised that lots of people have doubts using LED on SPS. Electricity tariff is on the rise, so, save more on LED.
  6. Put startup bacteria. You can purchase from any LFS.
  7. My sps have been under LED since last Jun/Jul. Sps are growing ok. My recent tank pics under full LED
  8. Hi Bro, Some of my tank shots today after about a month of vodka dosing with prodibio. So far no problem with 2.2ml for 150gal tank with sps and lps. My tank nitrates/phosphates are already quite low. Let see 2 months later and I'll update again.
  9. looks interesting design. I'm looking for a good design to DIY
  10. So.. that explains why you walk like that...
  11. yeah... another H&S user... But I would prefer outsump.

Can buy from Marine Life if you stay in the west or Irwana I think...
  13. I'm now dosing vodka and prodibio. So far so good.
  14. Good idea, "doomed guy". Yes you can put a small fishing hook and put a bait. Might work, but might injure the fish in process.
  15. Looks yummy. Where do you get those?
  16. Same bodyshaped tangs normally cannot be kept together unless they are introduced together. I have chevron tang, scopas tang, yellow tang, purple tang, sailfin tang, living happily together. Monitor a few days first to see if the fights are getting lesser. Feed more to distract the brown tang from attacking te yellow tang. Better still, catch the brown tang using bettabox and by putting bait. Don't feed them for a while.
  17. Yes, it will require less electricity, comparing PAR to PAR. Typically about 25% less. But need to take account of those cooling fans to reduce the LED heat, but not much. The main electric savings are from the chiller. I see no point putting strong heat into the water and then get the chiller to cool the water down.
