hi i have a picasso trigger for >6 months now, got it at 1.5 inch. mine have attacked the fins of other fishes (tell-tale bite marks, veri distintive). even big fishes also dont mess with him. it is also prone to attack the snails and shrimps. but it's a real hardy fish, agree with nitro, its got a real attitude. cheers!

Yes, would like to know the prices/brand/location where u purchase. reference for future upgrade/when i can afford it. verify that this unit (DI) does not produce any waste water. dont see any outlet for it. guess that's for the RO unit part of a RO/DI only. thks. manta

Yup, experience the blue hermits (banned to sump) attacking the turbo snails once they are on the sandbed. another culprit i found out is the picasso trigger. if u have any, could be him. FYI.

have many itch outbreaks previously, but since got a coralife UV 7 garlic soaked food, it stopped. its been 6 mths oredi. cheers.

hi, dived at rottnest 5 yrs back. cold waters ( sometime in apr-may). winter in jun , i think. used the thicker (i think its 8 or 10 mm)diving suit from the operator. ok in water but if out, shaking cold. especially if cold frnt/ wx approaching. not much for underwater scenery though (personal exp only), should get better info from yr dive operator. cant compare to mersing. most on the action is at NW and NE coact Aus. or go further north along the west coast from perth to get better options. rmk: 4 weeks after i left there was a white shark attack on 1 playing at the cottleslow (spelling???) beach. that's just about 30 mins ride from rottnest. the poor chap lost one leg. cheap to get good wet suits from there, cheaper than spore. hav a good time there. cheers.

facula butterfly (3 mths) - eats antything, will comptete for food with tangs and angelfishes. eats pellets, nori, mysis. it's colouring up. so i guess,getting stable. pacific redfin butterfly small(3 wks) - not competing for food, observsed to be pecking at rocks otherwise may be eating some drifting food as i flood tank with nori and mysis once everyday, but only guess becos cant see it eating much. dont know how & surprised it can survive for so long. keeping my fingers crossed. blackback butterfly small- got together with my pacific redfin, didnt survive, did not eat at all. tried cyclopeeze, mysis, etc. latticed butterfly medium - didint eat, very stressed, then died. the following died i n 3-4 days after battling it out with tangs (previously had a very aggressive purple tang, now no more) pearscale butterfly large yellow longnose butterflylarge copperband butterfly large really like butterfly fishes. cheers

me also just got a kole tang from henry. it's mainly pecking on LR. tried to train him to eat pellets. no luck. looking paler as the day goes by. all my other tangs n other fishes charge for pellets during each feeding. guess have to try frozen brine/mysis next.
