  1. Bought 6 months ago - black, pictures below. Looking for $300 Keen, PM
  2. Most wavemakers come with protector to prevent this exactly and I advise NOT to take any chances. Put aside the anemone dying, your tank will be in a very bad state if your wavemaker shred the anemone in the tank.
  3. Thats weird as there should only be one hose going back to the top of the skimmer cover for air flow. Should be able to find the manual fairly easily - i believe its this one https://www.seasideaquatics.com/BM/BMC3.5-2.pdf
  4. Great advices...just to add, 10g is more than enough as bare in mind, assuming if you are doing copper treatment, you just need to host them for 30 days and let's be honest...those separation tanks in the LFS are much smaller than 10g. I once performed QT and 30 days of copper treatment on a blue tang, 2 clown fishes and one purple tang in a tank smaller than 10g...i am not recommending it but if choosing between no QT vs QT in a small tank, i always choose the latter. Eradication vs. Management is something you need to decide...some vouch strongly for one and others the other. I personally prefer eradication and management seems to be like a time-bomb. On feeding, 100% - so far, no LFS rejected my request to demonstrate that the fish is able to feed on pellets before I purchase them
  5. How are the RedSea 90s treating you? Keen on those lights
  6. Any updates on this? Wondering what could be the problem
  7. So far still ok although i am being very careful when I am cleaning the glass so i do not hit the edges. I think the newer models are fine as per one of the reefer in this forum :). The example he gave is VW cars with gearbox..lmao. Apparently the new VW cars are better
  8. Update after a long time....:) Here is the pictures of my current tank: Few notes: 1. I added a purple tang since and yes, i know..i have to upgrade very soon! I am hunting for deals and hopefully can get a bigger home for them soon or else will have to sell them away (blue & purple) 2. My RBTA survived and i have since added hammer & torch. All the corals are actually doing very well. I did had a red monti but it died after some time and i realized that my kalk was actually very low despite using Red Sea Coral Pro sands. I must admit i got lazy and didn't test much but i assumed its because the corals were much bigger and weekly water change is no longer sufficient. I have since started manually doing red sea alk. 3. I opted to once again have sands but this time i decided to have only a one inch sand...I am hoping that it would still give me the benefits of having a layer of sands and forgives me if i am unable to keep up to the weekly water changes. 4. My sump is pretty much settled. I started dosing kalkwasser to my ATO although i realize it is not the best ATO to dose kalk but since my alk is very low, i do not really have a choice. Once i manage to get it stable, i might stop doing kalkwasser via ATO. I have my seneye reef there connected to my intel stick! Very cheap solution compared to getting the seneye PC.. 1. RBTA is doing very well. It is not splitting like my other RBTA but I really do like the colors. Mushrooms are also doing very well.. 2. I managed to reuse my chiller and AI PRIME 16HD. P/S: the pictures looked a bit white as I increased the White so i can take better pictures otherwise i am doing about 20% white i think.
  9. is still opening up? wouldn't be too worried as RBTA are quite hardy.
  10. Is your tank not in the balcony? Anyways, if it is not, no worries otherwise, might want to check out / validate. I know a PE review is required for anything more than 600kg, including sands, rocks and equipment for HDBs
  11. Yea i agree with dtdream. Be patient. I had my fair share of battles with algea & dino and with patience and follow the general principals of dealing with these, they eventually go away. I am not a fan of chemiclean as well
  12. Always nice to see someone is getting their dream setup! How much litres is your tank? I was reading somewhere that you need approval to put fish tanks in balcony if it exceeds certain weight.
  13. Nano skimmers are not the easiest to adjust. i had my fair share of troubles with fluval PS2 - sometimes it is not skimming, sometimes too much A small change in water level affects the skimmer as well. You just have to slowly adjust to the level you want and ensure you get the water level right every time
  14. Let me know if you are selling. Even better if you are looking to get Reefer Nano
  15. Please offer - if price is right, i will let it go (too much bioload)
  16. RODI filters are so affordable these days. I bought mine from a seller in carousell and consistently get TDS 0. My view is just worth the price to avoid issues that you do not want in your tank. The only hassle is not the money, but wait for the RODI to filter your water. My unit takes 30 minutes to get 5 - 10L
  17. Both sold / reserved. Thanks everyone
  18. Should be so slow? Yea this is the annoying part of this hobby. Get used to it as you will need to do water changes I hope you measured the TDS level?
  19. What's the general recommendation here? Anything above 300L to best go drop-in? Thinking of upgrading to 250L and i am not sure if i should go for chiller.
  20. nice congrats bro. Do open a tank thread to update us
