  1. Without sand is an easy task. Just prepare a big tub, shift everything into the tub, then shift your tank. If you do not have a big tub, you can just use a few bigger pails, one of them for your lion fish, and the rest for your LRs, don't really need to injet air bubbles as the shifting process should be quite fast.
  2. Detach do you mean the whole bunch of tentacles flew out? It is most probably due to high level of nutrients, check your PO4, NO3. Make sure no ammonia and nitrite is presence.
  3. No, they are not reef safe imo. Besides corals, mine nip on tube worms too. Don't get cleaner wrasse if you bought it for the sake of cleaning your fishes, get cleaner shrimps instead.
  4. Nope, I tried before, bought a 2 feet stainless steel stand 2 years ago at $100+, it will rust also. Get wooden cabinate, it's the best.
  5. Hi bro, I get what you are trying to say, it sounds better and make sense since it will be less pressure for your return pump, but one question I have for you is that do you intend to turn your sump tank the other way round (left to right, right to left), because if you don't do that, the return pump will be at the high divider side and the water that comes down from the main tank will land on the low divider side, water flow will be opposite.
  6. Rise or reduce your Ph to acceptable range, then maintain your Kh at 8 - 12, this will prevent Ph from fluctuating. But be sure to main your Kh, as it will keep dropping depending on how much LS you have.
  7. You would surely need to remove the water if you would like to shift the aquarium. It is not possible to shift it with water in it, your cabinate will sure break apart. A good way is to transfer all water to another tank (provided that you have a similar tank size), if not, you may wish to purchase blue tub. Those that LFS/farms using, haha. But i don't think it's advisable to shift it with LRs and livestocks in it as well, i'm afraid your tank base may break. Maybe try to get tank shifter for help, pay them and they do it for you. Hehe. I think bros who have shifted before will give you a better advise.
  8. Many bros tried raising them, but I don't think many success.
  9. Alveopora and goniopora will not be safe if you intend to put an angel in. I have a damsel that kill my goniopora (even damsel also nip off it's tentacle one by one) OMG. Try not to get the above 2 corals. And alveopora is not cheap, you will have a heart pain if you buy it. Actually when they nip on corals/invert, I have this feeling that they are not hungry at all, just that they wanted to nip on it, it's their natural behaviour. Because I use to have a flame angel, it has been well fed and it's very fat. But it keeps nipping on my clam mantles, I tried 2 clams last time, one I put it on the sand bed, immediately it found the clam and start nipping, the other I put it on one high end corner, it took a few days for it to find it, and it start nipping also.
  10. Yes, angels are not reef friendly, it better to put them in a FOWLR tank, yes they do eat seaweeds. Compatible you mean what type of corals? Mainly not much corals are compatible, try not to get polyps type, and try not to get open brains, and clams. I think mushroom should be ok.
  11. Hi Bros, wondering if there are any online shop or LFS that delivers NSW? It will be particularly useful for us who doesn't drive.
  12. Ya, but maybe you buy a slightly powerful one, because mine is 2012.
  13. How about clams? Will it attack clams?
  14. Yes, definitely it's your anemone that causes the mushroom to melt off. My anemone killed my hammer and bubble, I hate anemone moving around. You do not have to throw them away, the rest are quite healthy. Just leave it and they will grow big and healthy. Be sure not to let your anemone move too close to them. Feed your anemone well, so that they won't kill prey for food. Best is to feed they with meat weekly.
  15. Actually very seldom fishes will eat turtle weeds, but they tend to nip at it and let it flow off, I don't understand why they do this, like as if the turtle weeds did something wrong, haha. Btw, for flow rate, they sure do better with low flow, I tried placing mine at high flow, and all the weeds being blown off the rock in an hour time. But for lighting, I don't agree with low lighting, although yours grow well, but they may not be able to withstand for long. I think the lowest kind of lighting you should input for them would be PL. Some of them have it under MH, they survive well, very well photosynthesis and thus very green.
  16. Did you let the air tube be out of the water surface? It's very important, weipro skimmer air tube is hard transparent tube, a lot better than other brands with soft ones. For your info, my previous skimmer weipro 2012, i uses Idra sicce, it's not bad.
  17. Actually resun chillers are quite easy to use, inlet for inflow pipe, and outlet for flowing back to the tank. Then during the 1st time of usage, press the set button, then move the temperature to the one you want, then press set button again. Don't switch off the switch, if not you will have to set again. Be sure to secure all the pipes in case they drop off.
  18. Weipro 2013 is considered a venturi driven skimmer, you can't expect the bubbles to be as fine as needle wheel type.
  19. Hermit you mean hermit crab? Invertebrates and corals won't be afected by ich, don't remove them. And you did mention that your quarantine tank have copper right? I hope that you did'nt place your hermit crab in your quarantine tank, if not it's a bye bye for it. Be aware not to let any copper get into your main tank.
  20. Bwahaha, it's a new discovery, haha. Don't worry too much for your power supply cut off, 2 hours is nothing much of a worry.
  21. You can do that, but bear in mind that since Pura Nitrate is best known because of it's ability to regenerate, meaning after the resins are exhausted (absorbed fully), it can be regenerate and reuse as new NO3 absorbing resins. If you were to mix them together, then there is no way you can seperate them anymore. You will have to buy it again.
  22. Jurong west st 24? Should be 42 ba, Ya, I quite agree to get an alternative power source. Jurong west always have this kind of problem, mine here kena 3 times in a year.
  23. Mine one have a power disruption of 9 hours. I did'nt do anything, and they all survive well. You have chiller right? if you have, then not to worry, cas the temp can last for quite some time. Because all of your heat generator will stop as well mah.
  24. Anthias I would not recommend, they are better for reef tanks. Dwaft Angels are ok, cardinals, blennies, gobies, clowns, damsels, all these fishes are all ok for 2 feet tank. But for damsels, try not to get it, as they are quite aggressive and may be a difficult task for you to add fishes in future.
  25. So your tank is 1.5 feet deep. Don't get dymax T5s, it's NO T5s, it's not HO T5s. Even for soft corals, the normal tube will not be able to sustain long enough, your corals' health will decline day by day. Get at least PL.
