I hope the residual brown colouration in this piece will eventually go away. The growth has been fairly good with visible encrustation and longer tips evident if I don't look at it for a couple of days.

Thanks. Well, not all have shown great improvement though. I have a few colonies that have exhibited improvement but on a slooooww basis and a couple that refuse to be display anything except dull, washed-out colours.

Surprisingly, some of the Fiji SPS corals (having a reputation for being sensitive and delicate) have kept their colours and grown well e.g. my purple and green samoensis, pink tipped sarmentosa, pink pocci, red hystrix, and to a certain extent the a.valida which I have posted a pic of above.

I keep my alk and calcium levels as stable as I can with weekly checks and ensuring good random water flow and adequate lighting - the basics. In addition, I utilize a combination of Fauna Marin and Prodibio supplements to keep the water as clean as I can.
