Chiller: Hailea HC-500A (1/2 hp)
Skimmer: Deltec SC2060

Having the same problem.

I don't know if I splash salt water on it but I am starting to see some rust forming.

Must quickly get rid of it else when it will be difficult when more rust starts to develop....

Not my credit, I threw everything to Vincent and he did this wonderful job. I kinda like the single pump idea, can save $ but I am sure there are some disadvantages but so far so good.

Actually the idea came out because I was 'Niao' wanted to save cost then also my cabinet space very limited. I cant imagine adding few more pumps for chiller and FR. Totally cannot fit in anymore.

Always a challenge when I need to change my filter sock

Main pump hooked for 3 uses is a great idea but for insurance policy I'll hook my chiller with another pump, just in case the main basket breaks, I lose all my eggs.

Just my 2 cents (:

Fully agree with you. Also I found another disadvantage, my pump is 3000L/H but hooking up like that I do not know what is the flowrate I am pumping to the chiller for it to be efficient.

is Eheim compact 600 good enough? I have one spare

Tested my NO3 with Salifert test kit and results is super low! I think my Biopellet is working else with the amount of food I feed, I don't think it is that low.

To be fair I have Chaeto in refugium too
