Around 2011mid, my tank crash because too much phospate remover. This Problem caused me to start losing interest and almost left this hobby. lubina12
a close up shoots .. Hi Lulu, Welcome to SRC. Great set-up, your wife made the right decision to encourage you back into the hobby! Thanks for sharing! Thank you gouldian, thank to my wife for her support over the last few years, if not because of her, maybe i might have left this hobby. Honestly, Reef aquariums have been one of the most interesting hobbies i ever had. Every day there is a new thing about and look at in my reef Good on you to have a nice tank and above all, a supporting wife. mike Thank you for your kind words .. This is the reason why my wife support my hobby ... This hobby make me stay at home .. Beautiful setup u have there. Thank you .. nice setup.. inspiring too... Thx kang ronni, cant wait to see your tank .. This is one of the best tanks in Indonesia, many rare zoa in this tank Haha .. thx bro .. i think your tank who supposed to hold the title "The rarest zoa tank" Can share a bit more on how the phosphate remover crashes your tank? This because my laziness .. i use phospate media more than usual, from 30ml to 200ml of phosguard just because im lazy to change the media every month, with increasing phospate media, i hope can change it for 3 or 4 month. This make my sps bleach, all white, no growth, and die. Many zoa and lps die too. I think our corals need phospate to live, and although we can get them to colour up very nicely if the PO4 level is low, we do run the risk of straving the corals if we keep the levels abnormally low for a long time. And one's more .. use iron basic phospate remover then alumunium basic ..

lubina12
Nice tank and great photos! I like the "less is more" concept of minimalist scape. Thank you Peacemaker .. I think minimalist concept look great, the offer less hiding places for fish and less real estate for coral placement, but they provide more swimming space for fish and more grow out room for corals .. bro, what lens you use for th shoots? Nice pics Thx .. i use canon 60mm for that shots .. Really nice photo!!! Thx for your kind word Tian .. cheers ..

lubina12
Thank you Jeffl .. First of all i have to say, IMHO, a tank doesn't have to be complicated. I don't run carbon, bacteria dosing or do much to my tank either. Simple works just fine... Water change every week, which also cleans any detritus from bottom of the tank, skimmer cup gets cleaned a few times a week, pumps/power heads get cleaned a few times a year and add some additive to replace essential elements that get consumed. Basically a bare bottom tank with only 1 pieces liverock. In my sump there's only skimmer and reactor contains rowaphos. Just that's it This is my sump pic .. This is heart of whole system .. My lighting .. Not a good sump btw, but i like it . There are ways to keep simple tank, it's all about philosophy. I Agree that good solid husbandry is much better than anything.
