surgeonfish
I have 1 Derasa (2 yrs) and 1 maxima (1.5yrs). They have lived with Koran (1.5yrs), flame (1 yr-died during change to new tank). There is also 1 flame back ( 2months) and 1 cherub introduced into the tank. So far no sign of being nipped. Sebastian
reef garden
My 27 litres tank is shared with 2 clams and a flameback angel for more than 5 months. My 56 litres tank is shared with 2 clams and a flame angel for more than 8 months. Both have no problems. The only times my clams died so far were when the clams were already not healthy soon after introduction. I'm not sure if the size of the fishes matter though although both my fishes are smaller than the clams. Good luck!
