Kelvin81
It will come back if everything were right.
Admiraltian
Adequate lighting, good water conditions & sufficient flow. Colors could come back and improves but dun expect miracles as it takes time to heal. Adding amino acids and trace elements also help in improving coral's health & colors. SRC Member tamama Posted July 28, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted July 28, 2013 Assuming if the condition is right, it still depends on the types of sps. It takes 3 to 6 months for my own experience.
FishC
sometimes sps from the wild turns brown in our tank... after a few mths, it just suddenly bounces back and changes to a even more colorful coral. This is wat is commonly know as tank acclimatization i belive.. just live peacock need to be ugly before it become beautiful.
SRC Member Evolutionz Posted August 1, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted August 1, 2013 Agree with fishc! SRC Member kt611 Posted August 1, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted August 1, 2013 For sps , the most important thing i think is KH. If u can maintain kh (not up and down). I am sure color will be back. Even my brown ssc also color up

SRC Member nicreef Posted August 2, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted August 2, 2013 how do you define stable KH? my kh can drop by .2 per day. if i let it drop by .5 and boost it back to normal (8) would that be considered as a fluctuation? on average i realize i am dosing 20ml of sodium bi carbonate per day. (manual dosing - waiting for dosing pump to arrive at madpet). would this be considered unstable?
sherman
Try to maintain your KH from fluctuating more then 1 within a day. SRC Member kt611 Posted August 2, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted August 2, 2013 Dropped to 5 is danger ready. Some might stn. I used CR to control the KH, if use dosing pump also can. Must calculate properly n replace back. If buy new colony or add some frags must measure again. The KH might dropped more! Then resetting again. This is wht i do..... SRC Member nicreef Posted August 2, 2013 SRC Member Share Posted August 2, 2013 Try to maintain your KH from fluctuating more then 1 within a day. The lower the better ok thx. suspect main reason of flucation is due to evaporation...top up 4l per day.... Dropped to 5 is danger ready. Some might stn.
