My tomini tang is harassing the blenny non stop. Does anyone have any solutions? Or do I have to let the tang go? Is this behaviour normal by the way?

Hi Kamil,

How big is your tank?

By right tomini tang will not harass a blenny as tangs r usually aggressive towards conspecifics (that means their fellow tangs family).

The only reason a tang may harass your blenny could be a small tank size issue.

However even is the tank is small (less than 3ft) given time they can still co-exist with no issue at all.

Catching out the tomini tang is a good idea. Let the midas stabilises and become more bold in the tank for about a week or two. Then after that re-introduce the tomini tang.

If chasing and harassment persist, repeat the process. Catch out and then re-introduce after a week or two. Keep on doing this and after one or two rounds usually, the tomini tang will stop harassing the midas.

It is tedious, but it will work if you are patient and determined.

Hope this helps.
